Most organisations today have a myriad of enterprise applications that they rely on to run their business.
Some like SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics they acquired strategically, some that they use as Cloud-based solutions such as Salesforce.com or Eloqua and some even entered the business almost by accident – Yammer and Dropbox for instance.
Whether these applications were adopted as a strategic purchase or on a more tactical basis the reality is that they’ve all become critical to the organisation. The data required to get a 360 view of a customer is no longer neatly compartmentalised in a legacy database it’s spread across a while range of systems and waiting six months to get the view just does not cut it anymore.
There must be a better way?
